In today’s knowledge-driven economy, the fusion of Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics (STEM) education with entrepreneurship has become a strategic driver
of innovation, socio-economic development, and self-reliance. While STEM equips
learners with technical competencies and problem-solving abilities, entrepreneurship
fosters the creativity, risk-taking, and value-creation mindset necessary for translating
ideas into marketable innovations. This paper explores the nexus between STEM
education and entrepreneurship as pathways to innovations and self reliance, examining
theoretical perspectives, pedagogical models, and global practices that highlight their
combined potential. Drawing on case studies from both developed and developing
countries, it analyzes how integrating entrepreneurship into STEM curricula can catalyze
innovation ecosystems, reduce unemployment, and promote sustainable self-reliance. The
